Our Program

Willow Grove Stables “hands on” program is designed to make horsemen and women, not just riders.  The discriminating horse enthusiast will enjoy our attention to both the horses’ and the riders’ safety and well being.  Our instruction always emphasizes safety and common sense.  All students are required to complete several private lessons before riding in groups.  Everyone learns to groom and tack his or her own horse.  Qualified (ability level) riders may substitute recreational rides for makeup lessons with an instructor’s approval. 

Riding is a great sport for children.  It gives them the opportunity to learn commitment, responsibility, and work ethic that will serve them throughout their lives.  We also have many adult riders who have previously ridden, as well as those just starting out.  Riding is a great way of dissolving the stress of a busy day.  We are confident clients will know and appreciate the quality program we offer. 

Our pricing policy reflects our philosophy that consistent hands on experience helps riders reach their equestrian goals much quicker.  We recommend that students ride a minimum of twice weekly.  We require you ride a minimum of once weekly.  To assist you our program is designed so that students taking two or more lessons a week will find exceptional value for their money.

Having several riding instructors brings diversity to our program.  We are able to match rider and instructor personalities to make the learning experience fun as well as safe.  Some instructors are more patient and understanding with the younger students and some are better suited to assist the adults learn the steps in becoming an equestrian.  It also presents everyone with more options when it comes to scheduling.
